From November 9 to 12, 2025, the international conference \u201cPhotonic and Electromagnetic Crystal Structures XIV (PECS-XIV)\u201d was held in Glasgow, United Kingdom.
\nThe conference brought together leading researchers in the field of photonic crystals, including quantum photonics, to exchange the latest research findings and explore diverse applications of photonic crystal technologies.<\/p>\n
Professor Kosaka and Assistant Professor Hodaka Kurokawa attended the conference from our lab, with Dr. Kurokawa presenting his latest work during the poster session. Engaging directly with researchers from around the world provided valuable perspectives and insights into current international trends.<\/p>\n
In addition to the conference, Professor Kosaka and Dr. Kurokawa visited several key institutions in the U.K. that are at the forefront of quantum computing and optical communication technologies, including the Toshiba Cambridge Research Laboratory, Nu Quantum, and the National Quantum Computing Center (NQCC). These visits offered an opportunity to explore how our research group can contribute to the advancement of quantum technologies on a global scale.<\/p>\n
