Izu Kogen Seminar Getaway

From September 5th to 6th, we went on a seminar retreat to Izu Kogen for one night and two days. During this retreat, members of the research lab engaged in lively discussions about progress reports and study sessions.

A particularly memorable highlight was Professor Kurokawa’s special lecture on “Coupling Between Resonators and Atoms.” Professor Kurokawa’s lecture delved deeply into the latest research findings and theoretical background on the coupling between resonators and atoms, making it a highly informative and enriching experience. The students also reported on their own research findings, and everyone listened attentively.

During the retreat, we also enjoyed a BBQ and explored some of Izu’s famous landmarks. We experienced the beauty of nature by visiting places like the Hashidate Suspension Bridge, the Tajima no Taki “Phantom” Waterfalls, and the stunning views of Jogasaki Coast.

The knowledge and experiences gained over these two days will greatly benefit our future research activities.
