QIE 2025 in Okinawa — Co-organized by the Quantum Information Research Center (QIC)

The Quantum Information Engineering Workshop 2025 (QIE2025) was held at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST), co-organized by the Quantum Information Research Center (QIC) of Yokohama National University.

The workshop brought together over 50 leading researchers in the field of quantum information engineering from around the world. Participants presented and discussed the latest research results, engaging in lively exchanges on the current state and future prospects of the field.

From Kosaka Laboratory, Kyosuke Goto (M1), Taichi Fujiwara (M1), Keitaro Aoyama (M1), and Masaki Yoshioka (B4) participated and presented posters. Surrounded by the beautiful nature of Okinawa, it was a wonderful opportunity for the students to gain valuable insights in a relaxed and inspiring environment.

Poster Presentations
・Kyosuke Goto (M1): “A resonant microwave-to-optical quantum transducer based on a diamond color center”
・Taichi Fujiwara (M1): “Non-Destructive Spin-Photon Entanglement Generation with the Nitrogen Nuclear Spin Memory of a Diamond NV Center”
・Keitaro Aoyama (M1): “Adiabatic optical fiber coupling for diamond quantum nanophotonic devices”
・Masaki Yoshioka (B4): “Optical characterization of a Diamond Optomechanical Crystal coupled to a SiN waveguide”
