The Quantum Internet Seminar was held on October 20–21, 2025, at the NICT Nihonbashi Innovation Center. This seminar commemorated the 100th anniversary of the birth of quantum mechanics and provided a platform to share the latest research and development of key technologies for realizing a future quantum internet, as well as to discuss technical challenges and future directions.
Professor Kosaka gave a presentation highlighting the following achievements:
– Successfully demonstrated the proof-of-principle of a diamond-based quantum repeater
– Achieved modularization of the diamond quantum repeater
– Showed that using quantum computers as quantum routers with quantum transducers enables the realization of a quantum internet
